Prevent users from seeing Projects.

web-app

We are unable to prevent users from seeing or accessing projects and the issues underneath them.  (The issues can be hidden by making them private, but that isn't something we want to do.)

On the user security page I can set new users to the No Access Scheme and I can default projects to the No Access Scheme using the Security Schema link on each project page, but these don't seem to work as I would expect.

All users including newly created users can view any existing project and issue that isn't private.  Is there something that I am overlooking?

We are using 2.0.5.

Thanks,

Nevermind.  I missed the ViewAllProjects setting in the Web.config file.

Everything works as expected now.

Amazing what you will find when you re-read the documentation.

You need to set "Show All Projects" to "NO" in the Administration -> General under security. Then give users permissions to view the project by assigning security scheme to them.

We are on Gemini 2.0.2 and more and more I get this type of complaint from our Gemini users.

fro each project create, we ensure that explicit Security Schemes for non project members = No Scheme.    The web config file dictates that ViewAllProject value = N.   Yet lately we have been getting compliants that users are able to see projects that that they were not given explicit access to.   Is there something we are missing or is this  known bug for this Gemini version?   Thanks.

Check the project default security scheme. It migt be that the default scheme gives them access.

The project security scheme for these projects is set to the default <No Scheme>.

Is there something else causing this?

If ViewAllProjects/ShowAllProjects (setting name varies by version) setting value is NO, and the project default scheme is "No Scheme", and the "No Scheme" scheme has no items/roles selected, then the all should be well.

Has someone changed the "No Scheme" scheme to actually give permissions?!
