All new issues are inadvertently treated as closed issues

We have been using Gemini successfully for well over a year.

Recently every issue entered is automatically treated as a closed issue. There seems to be something triggered in the product. It does not matter what the status setting reflects, the issue is closed and can only be seen and managed when including closed issues.

Why? What can we do to prevent this?

What has changed in the system?

Please check the issue status look up and make sure that only 1 status is flagged as final.

There are no issue statuses that are marked as final.

Some days ago we created a new status. It is not marked as final. But since that time all issues regardless of the status is reflecting a closed status.
