Download file name in 2.1.1

web-app

We recently upgraded from 2.0.3 to 2.1.1 and I think the behavior of downloading attached files has changed.

In 2.1.1, if I attach a file named "a b c.$xy" to an issue or comment, the name displays correctly in the link, but it downloads as the file "a+b+c.%24xy".

Also, if I attach a file named "a b c.xyz", the name displays correctly in the link, but it downloads as the file "abc.xyz"

I don't remember Gemini doing this in version 2.0.3 and, since we frequently attach files with spaces and dollar signs in the name, it's a problem for us.

Is this fixed in 2.2.0?

Thanks,

Fred

When I click on the link, I'm asked to download the file "abc.txt".  I tried attaching the screen shot, but apparently I don't have permission, so here's a description of what it looked like:

-----------------------

Do you want to open or save this file?

Name: abc.txt

Type: Text Document, 4 bytes

From: gemini.countersoft.com

----------------------

These are all attachments to issues.. I've not tried it with repository attachments.

I'm using IE 7.0.5730.11

Thanks,

Fred

Works fine for us with FireFox, IE6 and IE7.

Are you able to test with another machine?

Strange. It fails on all 5 of the machines I've tested at our office and it came to our attention through a customer that reported when downloading a file off our Gemini site.

So, you're saying that when you click on the link, you get "a b c.txt"?

Perhaps we could try having you downloading a file from our Gemini installation?

Thanks,

Fred

Thank you.

We can replicate the .$$$ file name issue, but not the a b c.txt one.
