Humorous Error Creating Custom Fields.....
OK, while admittedly not very serious, this typo is kind of funny. When creating a custom field of list type, the note at the bottom of the form reads:
Ensure that the table exists and the field names are spelt correctly
As opposed to referring to the wonderfully nutritious and ancient grain with a deep nutlike flavor it should read:
Ensure that the table exists and the field names are spelled correctly
Thanks......

What's humourous is the trend of flagging any non-American spelling as archaic. CounterSoft can be contacted in London. Spelt is correct British past tense. It is also, I concede, the name of a grain--but that doesn't make it wrong, even though it is not current American usage. |

Yes, your post is correct Boris. "Spelt" is
perfectly acceptable. It appears in most, if not all, English
dictionaries i.e. The Oxford English Dictionary.

Please note, despite my personal ignorance, none of you caught my spelting of "humOrous" as opposed to "humourous". [:P] |

That's because humorous is just as correct as spelt, and in more common usage! Actually, I think if your original post had said, "I noticed that you are using the British and more formal spelling of 'spelt' instead of 'spelled,' and that just doesn't match the internationalization you've implemented throughout Gemini, so you should fix it" you would still have been right and nobody would have given you such a ribbing!
