No Admin Access?!

web-app

Ok , I ran the SQL scripts in order, gave full permissions etc. On the SQL accnt, (MS SQL 2005); I've got gemini running, but ...

I login as 'admin' 'admin', and I get only a list of the same "ACME" project.

But no admin options. However, I once installed in the past and got 'admin' options when I logged in as the admin user ...

Can someone help me restore the admin privledge? No admin menu is visible..

Jason

Please check that the role "G!" is present in the users table for the admin user.

I appear to have the same problem.

I have a new installation of 2.05 - after encountering this problem, I removed and reinstalled the DB, and still encountered the same problem.

I created a new user, assigning the role 'G!'.  THe new user also does not have admin access.  The default admin user does have the role 'G!'.

Thanks for any help.

What links are shown in the home page (when logged in as admin)?

Home, My Work, and My Profile.

The ACME project only appears if I have ViewAllProjects set to Yes.

The links availalbe for ACME are:

Home, Road Map, Change Log, Create Issue, All Issues, New Issues and Updated Issues.

Interestingly, this is v2.05 with a purchased license key on a new server.

The installation we used for evaluation worked fine.  There was no crossover between the two installations - different servers, different DB servers.

Please try and point eval install to the new database. Does it work as expected?

I can try, but the eval  version is earlier than 2.05.

Can you try 2.0.5 on another machine?

Ok,

A fresh installation on another machine with another DB works fine.
Pointing the new isntallation at the previous database also works fine.

I copied the Web.Config from the new installation to the old installation, but no change of behavior.

The one odd thing about the broken installation is that the files are in a webservices folder under wwwroot - /inetpub/wwwroot/WebServices/Gemini.  The URL is still <hostname>/Gemini

That's where the installation put them.  I did do a Remove Programs, and reinstall thinking I could change the location, but I could not, so the reinstallation completed normally and placed the files there.

The installation on the new machine put the Gemini directory directly in the wwwroot folder.

Try creating the virtual directory manually and copy the web files into it.
