Filtering Closed Issues and Automatically changing Status

Hi,

I have a couple of general questions

1) Even thought the 'Exclude closed issues' is ticked, when in the Issues list page, all Closed Issues are still displayed.  Is this a bug or is our set-up incorrect

2) is there a way of once you have assigned a resource to an inssue, that the status can change to 'In Progress', rather than remain 'Unassigned'

Please make sure that you have one status marked as final. You can check this via the admin page.

There is no easy way to change the status, but you can amend the update issue stored procedure to do so.
