User Access Settings for Projects

web-app

Hi there,

I have set up a dummy user to test the access levels against different projects.   It is not working how I have assumed it would work. I would therefore like to confirm the Security aspects around Project accessibility.

Background: I have 3 projects, several 'real' users and a dummy user.

1) I have set the default Project Security Scheme to 'No Access' but when I log on as a user who has not been assigned to that project, my test user can still view all issues associated with it

2) Further more, I under the 'User Security' section, I have also clicked on "NoAccess" and selected the dummy user against it.

When I log on as the DummyUser, I can still see all projects and view all issues associated with them.

My understanding was/preference would be that a particular user should only see issues/projects they have access to.

Is there a setting I have missed?

Thanks.  Helen.

Please set ViewAllProjects to "NO" in the web.config file.

Hi,

You need to change a value in the web.config file

<add key="ViewAllProjects" value="NO" />

Set it to NO, then the No Access and other scheme rules will fully apply against the project.

When you first view a thread, you only see the post you clicked on from the search. You need to click on "view full thread" or similar to see the whole thing. It is irritating until you work it out!
