Gemini allows for releasing a version although unclosed issues still exist with this version. The same happens when I close an issue although it is dependent on another not yet closed issue.

From my point of view I think that linking the state of issues more tightly to its versions and other related elements does make sense. As a minimum feature a warning could be issued in one of those cases.

Is this behaviour intended or a 'might be implemented in future' issue?
