Intermittent user rights problem after upgrade to 2.0.3

web-app

We have just upgraded our system from Gemini 1.9.1 to 2.0.3 and overall it seems to have gone smoothly.
However some users are reporting an intermittent problem that they have no rights on projects that they used to have rights on. Some are unable to report issues, modify issues or assign them. However it does not seem to happen consistanly, or immediately. People have been able to use it for a few minutes, and then find that they are missing a link that should be there.
We think that resetting user passwords is working, and possibly getting users to clear temporary internet items and cookies. However we are not 100% that this is fixing it as it is not a consistant problem.

Any ideas about what could be causing this and if there is an easier solution than manually resetting the password for all 200 users?

We are using Windows Authentication on windows server 2003. Problems have been reported in a range of browsers, ie5 ie6 ie7beta and firefox 1.0 and 1.5

Please make sure that "Anonymous Access" is unticked in IIS directory security.

Ok, thanks. We've changed that now, so I'll just have to wait and see if anyone else reports the same problem.

Cheers

We're still having trouble with this. I think that one of our guys will be emailing you about this tomorrow, could you let me know what information you'll need to diagnose the problem? Then I can ask him to collect that to send to you.
Thanks

We need to know the server setup, OS, memroy, IIS etc... and the client set up, browser and version.

Also, check the error log.

I've added That information in this thread:
http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/775.aspx
Seemed sensible to join that conversation.

On a maybe related note, some of our users are also recieving a lot of blank emails from the administrator, although not the ones who have turned off email alerts.
No idea if this is a related problem.
