SMTP Service needs some improvement. Is it working?

I think there might be some room for improvement in this SMTP service. Especially in terms of logging and debugging.

I have put everything in the config file. I have installed it. It is running. Is it working? I'll never know. There is an email waiting for it at the designated address but.

- There is no logging anyplace that I can tell that the config file is OK
- There is no logging that it is checking the email address OK. There is no logging anyplace for anything.
- I am getting no new issue back and there are no new issues over in my gemini install
- There is nothing in the event viewer

Is it working ? How will I know ? How will I know if it is not working ? I know it is not because it appears to be doing nothing.

OK. I don't get this.

I posted the aforementioned question. Then I get a response that shows up in my outlook email. However I don't see the response in this thread. And when I click on the link in the response it tells me the forum is bad.

What the heck is going on with these forums ?

I agree that it needs more logging. You can amend the source code as you see fit.
