Upgrading 1.7 to 2.0.2 onto new servers

Hi All,

We currently have 1.7 running on webserver A and SQL server A for BusinessGroup1.  We have another instance of the application running on the same servers for BusinessGroup2.

I'd like to upgrade our BusinessGroup1 without affecting BusinessGroup2.  In order to do that I'd like to move both the application and database to different servers for BusinessGroup1.  We have a corporate license so licensing won't be a problem.

My question is, if I detach the database, move the file and reattach it on another server, shouldI be able to update my database using the current steps listed in the documentation?

Thanks to anyone who can give me some insight on this.

Yes, there is no problem with this approach.

Attach the database to the new server, upgrade it and install the new web app.
