install 2.0.2

web-app

Carrying a fresh install of Gemini 2.0.2 on a Windows 2003 Standard sp1, right after creating manually the database (running all scripts of step1SQLDatabase, I ran the GEMINI.MSI file, choosing the standard options -- virtual directory Gemini and port 80.

I'm getting the following error:

The specified path 'http://<servername>/Gemini is unavailable. The Internet Information Service is not running or the path exists and is redirected to another machine. Please check the status of this virtual directory in the Internet Services Manager.

No matter if the virtual directory exists or doesn't exist - the error is the same.

Is there any trick to have it installed under Win2k3 or I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks.

Never mind !!

The error is on the installation process, not after as described on the thread you sent.

I did the manual installation and now it is working. When I have more time, I'll try to reproduce and investigate what happened.

BTW, the issue described on the thread you sent, probably is just a matter of including the Default.aspx on the documents property of your Internet Information Services -- this is also weird, as if you have installed .net framework and it registered ok with IIS, Default.aspx is included on the list as one of the documents to be looked at and processed in case you don't provide the full path.
