No button for adding documents

I'm using 5.1.1 and gave me the permission "Can Manage Documents", but the plus button on the item page for adding documents is hidden. How can I activate this functionality?

Please make sure you've the permission for the correct project, you should see an "add" button on the bottom right.

I am member of "Developers" across all projects and this group has the permission "Can Manage Documents". But there is no button (only for comments and time entries).

I see, are you referring to attachments for an item? If so make sure you can see the attachments section in the create screen for the type (process)
