A project can only be associated with one permission set. Why would you want it on more?

Aha, that explains it. The reason being that we thought of having one Permission configured to handle a certain set of users/groups, and then only add projects to this Permission. Then we have another Permission for another set of users/groups with other access rights (and hence another Permission).

We then need to rethink and handle Projects-Permissions in another way.
