Hi,

is there a way to save my freshly created templates and security schemes in v5.1 and re-import my working base from v4.0 (after doing all the upgrade work),

so that I will just have to map the projects with the already existing templates ?

It is not possible out of the box. What you can do is copy them to a new database and table and insert them after the upgrade.
