How can I remove a dependency?

How do you remove one once it's been added? All I see are pluses to add them.

ANSWER

Make sure that your user group can "see" depedencies in the edit screen for the type (process) and template. Go to Customize -> Processes select the template and edit the screens.

Right. I have no problem seeing the dependencies. How do I REMOVE a dependency?

Again, make sure that you can see the section in the EDIT screen.

I guess I don't know what you mean by the EDIT screen. I'm able to add dependencies, but just can't see a way to remove them. Is there another screen that I'm not using?

You need the edit screen of the item (8448), which looks like a task to me but might be something else.

It is a task, but it's sharing the same screen as the story which is above. Here is a screenshot of the 'edit' attributes section.
