duplicate template results in a closed status

Hi, I have duplicated "testing and QA management" template for one testing project. I have used the same test cases and test plans (with different screen but same workflow) as that of the original template. But when I create a new test case with status "reported" it does not populate until I check include close items. But if I change the status to something else like planned or assigned, it populates in the test page without checking the include closed items. In our case, "Reported" status is issued first and then proceeded further. Is this the issue with duplicate template? because when I use the original template, I don't have that issue. Thanks.

Can you check if that status is marked as "Final"?
