project visibility to limited users

projects
beta

I am currently using Gemini 5 demo. I have 2 users and 2 projects. I want user1 to see and edit all items/issues in project1 only and user2 to see and edit all items/issues in project2 only. I don't want user1 to be able to see project2 or user2 to see project 1. I tried creating groups and giving permissions, but I am not able to fix this. Can you point me to the right direction for this problem. Thanks.

ANSWER

Firstly create two new groups. Within each group, assign the user to the project you wish them to see (for example user1 can see project 1).

Once groups have been set go to permissions and add two new permissions (project 1 and project 2). Associate each project to one of the permission. Then populate the permission with ONLY the group that you wish the project to be seen and edited by.

Thanks. I tried doing this the earlier but had forgotten to change the visibility in the permission. It works now. But The issues created by Manager for project1 is not visible to the user1 even though I changed the visiblity of all the issue to the group of user1.

Have you changed the template screens(Template which is set for Project1)? Screens give permissions on what can be seen while Creating, editing and viewing and who it can be seen by.
