Importing Excel Flat File into existing project
Hello there, I have been trying to import issues into an existing project, to no luck.
I am now trying 1 issue to minimalize the chance on problems and that even does not work. It keeps sayng I have an invalid file / data and tells me to check the mandatory fields. It's an xls file and I have all the right fields included so I'm guessing maybe it's the data type. Something which I cannot find in the manual.
Anyone feel like checking?
issue number - 5000 issue title - blah blah project id - 43 project name - myproject project description - myproject description Project Archived - FALSE Project Read only - FALSE Project Leader Name - Project Security Scheme ID - 1 Type Scheme ID - 4 Priority Scheme ID - 2 Severity scheme ID - 2 Work Flow Scheme ID - 4 Component ID - 288 Component Name - NA Component Description - NA Version ID - 138 Version Name - 2010 Version Description - 2010 Version Number - 2010 Version Order - Version Released - FALSE Fixed in Version ID - 138 Affected Version ID - 138 Issue Components ID - 288 Raised By - Start Date - 29/03/2011 Due Date - 30/03/2011 Assigned To - coxg Type - Bug Priority - Low Severity - Blocking Issue Status - Solved Resolution - Complete Estimated Days - Estimated Hours - Estimated Minutes - Detailed Description - blahblah Comments - Commented By - Closing Comment - CustomFields ID - CustomFields Value -
I also have some questions:
The example flat file indicates that a project Id could be P001. In the database it's a numeric so I entered 5000 (which is higher then the highest current issue in our database) Is this correct? I also do this for the , Version ID and Component ID
Btw: I cant use the Import into existing ptoject(s) checkbox: it's grayed out
Thanks for any help!
