Gantt view empty

In the Items list screen for a project, I click the Gantt tab - but it shows no items at all. The Gantt Chart is empty, and it says No issues found. My items have Start and End dates, are assigned to resources, components, etc. Why are all my Gantt charts empty?

Make sure your screens (Administration --> Items --> Screens) allow you to see the start and due dates.
