Autocomplete does not work when trying to add watcher on issue

When one of my user is trying to add a watcher on her issue, the autocomplete pop up does not show as she type the names. It is working for all other users.

Is that user using the same Internet browser and version as the other users?

Yes. It was Windows 7 and IE 9. But while troubleshooting, I found a solution. If you put the URL (or domain) in the Compatibility View settings, the normal functionality is back.
