Prioritizing Product Backlog

usage

Hi guys

I'm a newly hired product owner for a software company where we use Gemini for bug tracking. I'd like to see if it fits working with Scrum properly.

One thing I can't figure out is:

  1. How do I create a product backlog?

Until now I just created a Fix Version called Product Backlog but I don't know if that's the best way of doing it.

  1. How can I prioritize items on the Product Backlog (and perhaps on sprint backlogs as well)?

I'm looking for a drag and drop feature like other tools such as Jira or Urban Turtle supports.

Our current SharePoint tools allows us only to put a priority number in, and that is not sufficient or very visually appealing for a customer who's priorities change constantly. Also, you'd have several items with the same priority - or you'd have to re-prioritize items all the time giving them different numbers.

I'd like me and the customer to be able to - at all times - to see a strictly hierarchical and vertically prioritized backlog.

Hope you can help.

Thanks, Jesper

  1. Yes, fix in version is one way to create a product backlog. Most of our users will keep all backlog items in the "none" fixed in version (unscheduled).
  2. Priortizing is done for version 5 of Gemini, which is out soon. Feel free to drop sales at countersoft dot com an email if you'd like a preview.
··· Gemini 5 is now out, but looking at e.g. [all GEM issues](http://gemini.countersoft.com/project/GEM/2/items) I still see just 4 priorities where I expected a Scrum-style ordered backlog.JeroenThursday, September 27, 2012, 9:29:53 AM
··· Can you please comment on where / how this feature is done in Gemini 5?JeroenThursday, September 27, 2012, 9:30:26 AM
