Problem adding new item

Hello,

I have a problem creating new items for projects. I'm not sure what I did wrong. My user profile has all necessary permissions for adding/editing/deleting items. I added components and set default values for the project. But everytime when the "New item" window pops up and I entered a title and the work estimate value and press the "Add" button nothing happens.

Can somebody help me what problem occurs here? Thanks in advance for your answers.

PS: I'm a new Gemini user!

Is the component field visible when creating a new item? If not then please make sure that you have a default set for the component field.

No, the component field is not visible in the popup window. But in the project administation section under "Default values" I selected a default component for the project...

Can you please check Gemini's system log for error (Administration -> Sytemlog)?

I've checked it but there are no entries referring to an error occurred while adding a new item, only some SQL errors regarding deletion of user...

Try changing the type of the item created, so it will use a different "screen". does it work?

I tried each item type, but the mask displays every time the same fields... No description, no component! And of course no reaction after clicking "Add" button.

ANSWER

Ok, so it is the description field that is missing and why you cannot create the item. Either show the field via Administration -> Screens or set it to optiona in the General section of the project administration.

Thanks a lot, that was the reason for this incorrect behaviour. But it's quite tricky to get the solution by their own.
