Time remaining and the burndown chart

How should we deal with time remaining on an issue? Normally, when creating a burndown chart you base it on time remaining not on Work Estimate-Logged Time.

That is time remaining. Estimated - Logged = remaining. That is what the burndown chart shows (when viewing it time based)

Mark,

In agile, time remainging isn't estimated - logged. It is the actual time remaining. Your estimate might have been off, in which case the burndown chart will be off. To more accurately generate the burndown chart you need the actual time reamining.
