change the severity after ticket submission
A user would like to change the severity of the ticket after it has been submitted and cannot change this. Is this a workflow issue or a permissions issue?

Can the user edit the item? If so check that the screen (Administration -> Screens under itmes) that the type is usign (Administration -> Type under items) is allowing that user to view the field. |

User can edit other items but cannot edit severity |

Severity is checked for that particular screen assigned. |

Check that the user belong to the groups selected. It might be ticked but the user is not in the group. Can the user edit that item? |

I have given this group update item progress permissions. |

Go to the Administration -> Type and edit the type that the item belongs to. Note the edit screen used by that type. Is it the same screen as the one you have chnaged? |
