Home and Projects tabs are not showing after logon

After logon the Home and Projects tabs are not showing for user accounts. Only the Manager account is showing these tabs. Could this be due to the test/free account I'm test driving?

You have added yourself to the "helpdesk" mode group. Go to the Administration -> General under security and check the group selected for helpdesk. Now either select no group or remove yourself from that global group.
