Can the automated numbering of test case ID's be changed?

Hi,

I've been creating test cases between projects and I don't want to have a universal numbering, is it possible to change this? Do I have to add another field for custom ID's?

How much can I customize with the numbering?

You cannot control the id, but can add a custom field to hold your own id.

If I add a new field to hold my own ID, will this ID be searchable using a search field?
