[Gemini] Found 8 Messages. Test SMTP Message - can't get ticketing to work

converse

Hello,

I get this mail when I test the settings for Converse: [Gemini] Found 8 Messages. Test SMTP Message

Nothing is created in the specified Gemini project when I send an e-mail to the configured mailbox. Firewall is disabled on server hosting Gemini and scheduler.

Please advise on how to debug situation.

Best regards Anders

Please make sure that you have installed the scheduler service v4.2. Check for errors in the application log (event viewer) if you already installed it.

Found this error in application log:

Event Type: Error Event Source: Countersoft Gemini - Email Alerts Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 14-11-2011 Time: 11:19:15 User: N/A Computer: xx Description: CounterSoft.Gemini.WebServices - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. could not execute query [ SELECT this.alertid as alertid530, this.issueid as issueid530, this.projectid as projectid530, this.userid as userid530, this.servicecomment as servicec5530, this.alertdata as alertdata530, this.created as created530 FROM geminiissuealerts this ORDER BY this.issueid asc, this.alertid asc ] [SQL: SELECT this.alertid as alertid530, this.issueid as issueid530, this.projectid as projectid530, this.userid as userid530, this.servicecomment as servicec5530, this.alertdata as alertdata530, this.created as created530 FROM geminiissuealerts this ORDER BY this.issueid asc, this.alertid asc] Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. - at CounterSoft.Gemini.WebServices.BaseService.ThrowResponseException(WebResponse response) at CounterSoft.Gemini.WebServices.BaseService.ProcessResponse[T](String url, Object obj, RequestType requestType) at CounterSoft.Gemini.WebServices.AlertsService.GetAlerts() at Countersoft.Gemini.Scheduler.EmailAlerts.EmailAlertsProcess.ProcessIssueAlerts()

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I also see a lot of these but I do not know if they relate to the Converse issue:

Event code: 4005 Event message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Reason: The ticket supplied has expired.

  • Scheduler is latest version
  • Account in scheduler is an admin account
  • I can see the test mails from gemini
  • Website allows for anonymous access
  • We don't use AD for gemini

Please advise.

ANSWER

On the mailbox account configuration i used the IP adress. When I changed to the DNS name it worked. I will mark this as solved.
