date format in Excel export

If I export my items to Excel the "Start Date" contains a time -> "10/21/2011 12:00:00 AM" I would like to have displayed only the date in Excel. Can I change this?

Unfortunately, that is not possible at the moment.

what i try to say:

If I use a custom date field it works. No Time appears after the date in Excel.

Yes, date custom fields will not store time.
