Show swedish characters in comments

When I add a comment for an item containing swedish letters, everything looks fine. When I switch over to the History tab, all the swedish letters are not displayed. Ex: The text Håll (a swedish letter exist between H and l - hope that it is visible in this quiestion :-) is displayed as Hll How can this be fixed?
