Permissions not working correctly
I've recently granted full issue and project permissions for a specific projects to a resource group. However, members of this group are still unable to perform basic edits like status change, etc.
The roles within the security scheme appear as expected and permissions at the user level for those within the group appear correct as well. However, these permissions do not appear to be applied.
Thanks for you help.

Do the user see the fields when editing the issue? |

Yes, fields are visible, but just un-editable. As part of the admin group have the same permissions as the Resource group for this project. I am able to edit projects/issues. |

If the fields are visible but disabled when editing then you are missing permissions. Make sure they have the update item progress permission please. |

Update user progress permission is already enabled. |

Can you please send screenshots of the permissions and edit item pages to support at countersoft dot com? |

In stepping thru capturing screenshots, I found the issue. The specific workflow step permissions for changing certain statuses had not been granted to the group. This is resolved. Thanks for your time. John |

I have a similar issue, but seems a bit different. I created a new global group "G". Members of this group have all permissions set in a scheme. Only the "view own items only" is not set. There is only 1 workflow defined, and all transitions are allowed to "Everyone (Authenticated)" Members of G can do everything, EXCEPT change status, resolution, assign resource, fix version, change visibility, start/end date. They can change all other properties of every task in all projects that belong to this security scheme. If I move a particular user from "G" to "Developers" (the global group that came with the gemini sample db), the user cna suddenly edit the properties above, although Developers and G have the same permissions in the scheme. I'm at a loss. |

Do you see these fields in edit mode? |

No, they are not visible when I click on "Edit". They are visible when viewing the issue, just not editable. |

You need to amend the edit screen that the type is using to show the fields to this user group (Administration -> Screens). |

Wow I never bothered to look at the Screens section. That was it. Many thanks. |
