I am creating test plans that will be used for multiple components within a project. What is the best way to link a test plan/case or run to a component?

I would like to add the Components listbox field to the runs screen to allow for tracking of what runs were completed for which components. Ideally, I'd also like to be able to assign a test plan/case to multiple components as well. However, I haven't found a way of doing so short of creating a custom Components field.
