Is there a way to show open task counts on the project summary page summarized by root versions, and not leaf version?

For example, If I have a version 3.1.1 and a version 3.1.2, both with 2 open tasks and both with a parent version 3.1, how do I show on the summary page a single record of version 3.1 with a count of 4 open tasks and a version of 3.1?

Do I need to set up the versions in a specific manner? Is there a setting I'm missing?
