emails

Can anyone shed some light on this error I get in my server's application log. There are lots of enteries in the log about checking and processing e-mails, then this message comes up:-

"Exception occured during processing Gemin Emails. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Do you have any plugins installed? What are the other messages?

I see I am aslo getting the following:-

CounterSoft Gemini Scheduler - Socket connection has been refused by remote host. InnerException message follows: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:25 -

I have since turned on windows firewall Domain profile and checked there is an inbound rule on port 25 and I still get the error.

Is your SMTP server on the same box? When you click on the test button in the Administration -> SMTP page, does it work?

SMTP service installed on same box, but service was set to manual. Have started it and from Administration/smtp have clicked test button and get the error:-

The server rejected the given recipient. The server responded: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for gemini.scheduler@mycompany.com

I see in the System log I also get:-

Checking Latest Version Unable to connect to the remote server System

Ok, you have to enable relay in your SMTP service. If you are using MS SMTP service the please see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230235
