Imported Items not visible in 4.1
Hi,
After a bit of trial and error I have managed to import a number of items (using csv files) into Gemini 4.1 As a precaution I built a couple of files with a small number of items per file. After each import the utility would report the correct number of items imported. However, I can't see any of the newly imported items. I also logged in as a different user and still couldn't see them.
While I am the Gemini administrator, I am also a member of global groups that have permissions to view all items. What do I need to do to be able to see the new items (assuming the utility reported correctly that they were imported) and to make them visible to all team members?
Thanks in advance, Frank

Please check the project permissions and make sure you do not have the "only view own items" permissions. Also, if you can check the visibility columns in SQL (gemini_issues) and let us know the values it will be good. |

None of the groups that any of our team are assigned to have "only view own items". I'm afraid I don't have access to the Gemini database; only our DBA has access to most databases. |

Are you a member of the everyone global group? |

We do not use the everyone global group. We have 4 global groups based on roles: a manager group, a developer group, a core tester group, and a secondary tester group. All of our team members are assigned to one or more of those. Once we have our projects set up correctly and operating smoothly we want to have the option to delete the demo projects and groups. I have checked the permissions there, but don't see anything that gives me a clue. Since there is no "view all items" permission (that is the sensible default as far as I can tell) and nobody in our team has "only view own items" permission is there something else I should look for? |

By default all items visibility is set to the everyone group. You should not delete that group, simply don't give any permissions to it. Add yourself to the everyone group and you should see the imported items. |

OK, that did it. Where is that documented? I didn't see it anywhere. Is that because it's a system group or is the 'everyone' group set up to be special? Are there any other special permissions it has that I should be aware of? Thanks for your assistance - much appreciated. Frank Alviani |

It is the default visibility group that's more or less it. There are no special permissions for that group and you shouldn't assign it any unless you want anonymous access to your site. |
