using UPN for Windows Authentication vs domain\user

Is there any known issue with using a user's UPN instead of domain\username as their login? Our domain names are not the easiest to remember when folks are logging in via VPN so we try and have everyone use their UPN (which matches their email address) for both SVN and other services.
