Disable/hide Resolution unless Status is Closed

Gemini v4.0.0 (build 2995)

At our company we want to allow the user to set Resolution only if Status is set to "Closed".

Is there a way to configure the UI to enforce this? Can I hide or disable Resolution if Status is not equal to "Closed"?

GEM-349 says fixed in Version "2011", is that something that will be coming out this year?

The issue GEM-349 has the severity "Minor", but personally I don't think that it's a minor one...

Me and other employees at our company have been waiting for the fix for this since 3 version, but unfortunately the problem exists even in 4.0.1. It's very annoying to tie Status and Resolution fields together manually, very often users forgot to set the Resolution and set only Status, or vise versa..

It would be great to have a popup dialog as it's mentioned in the GEM-349, so when issue is marked as CLOSED, a popup will appear to user with possible RESOLUTION statuses to choose from..

Please fix the issue as soon as possible :(
