Can you clarify what the relationship is between a test run of a plan and a test run of a case. If you run all the test cases in a plan individually the run statistics for the cases are recorded at case level but there are no run statistics at a plan level so you have slightly conflicting views of testing. When would you run a plan rather than individual cases. Thanks

You create a plan when you'd like to run a "complete" test. That test will include several cases (eg. a bunch of ui test cases). We record pass or fail at the case and plan level. When a case is run only the case level is affected.
