No mails when creating an issue with API

I must have missed something but when I add and assign a Issue (In a single AddIssue) call with the API, no mails are sent?

Is there a way to trigger the mail?

The email alert should still be sent. There is no difference between the api and web for that. When you create and assign an issue using the web for the same project, do you get an alert?

Yes when an Issue is created and assigned to me with the web interface I receive a mail :

[RB-15459] Created ......

But not with the API, however the customfield is still populated by our plugin, so the issuecreated event is fired.

Nevermind I received a mail just now, strange... It's the 4th issue I created today and only received one mail.
