Not easy to see Project User assignments

beta

I appreciate the concept of creating groups etc. but it is tough to visualise a project's resource assignment and in general see who is doing what.

Ideally I feel that when you administer a project you should be able to go to the Projects administration then drill down to the project by selecting 'Edit' .  This will then allow you to select a resource group. Then within this resource group you should be able to unselect unwanted participants and give them a role which might override their default setting.

Not sure I fully understand the issue, but here goes...

If the issue is around understanding and controlling who does what role on the project (e.g. projct resource), then use Project Groups as opposed to Global Groups.

This would allow each project administrator to define group membership for their own project (e.g.  define who is a "developer", "tester", etc.).  Global admins just need to assign Project Groups the relevant permissions -- project admins define group membership.

Not suire if this answers your concern.
