Custom Workflow

web-app

I'm evaluating gemini for the emterprise I work. I'm currently trying to adapt the workflow to ressemble the one we are currently using in Trac.

see the image at http://insoft.prodatamobility.com/trac-none.png which describes the workflow.

I've added the Issue Status possibilities and also moddled a wokflow as instructed by the image. Now when I create a new issue and don't assign it the status is set to New which is good. If I then assign it a user the state still is New, I would expected the status to change to Assigned, but instead it's still set to New.

Any ideas on this?

Sorry, are you assigning the resource at issue creation?
Did you mark the "Assigned" status as Assigned Status(tick box)?

Note that Gemini will not update your status (unless you create an issue and assign a resource) for you. However, we do have it on our list: http://gemini.countersoft.com/Default.aspx?p=2&i=350 feel free to leave your comments.

No I hoped that I did not have to do this manually because thiw would mean the context of an issue can get out of state real quick... It should not be possible to be able to assign a person to an issue and the issue have the status of unassigned if you don't change the status to assigned manually.

Is this not supported?

If it is checked, then Gemini will set the status to that one only at issue creation when assigned a resource.
It will not do so when editing the issue.

However, you could write a plugin to do so.
