What does it take to upgrade from Gemini 3.1.2 (Build 2257) to latest?
We're currently running Gemini 3.1.2 (Build 2257) and I was looking at the VS2008 addon. It seems it doesn't play nice with the version we have.
Seeing the latest is a few versions ahead of what we have, what does it take (cost & Work on our end) to upgrade.
Thanks.

It depends on your license (Administration -> Licensing). If your license has not expired before Jan 2010 then the upgrade is free. The upgrade is not too hard. Run 2 database upgrade scripts (upgrade 3.5 and 3.6) followed by create_view and procs and re-install the webapp and add-ons. |

Any chance of Data loss? |

Shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes really. No data loss (always backup before the upgrade). Steps: 1) Deploy new web app 2) upgrade 3.5 (sql) 3) upgrade 3.6 (sql) 4) createviews (sql) 5) createprocs (sql) 6) upgrade scheduler and any add-ons. |

SaarCohen, Thanks for the reply. We just upgraded to install 3.7 we are still running Gemini 3.1.2 (Build 2257). Will I be running the complete install, or are there separate packages I can install? Thanks. |

Sorry when you say "upgraded" is that the database? If so, then all you have to do is put the down the new 3.7 web files instead of the old ones. Download the 3.7 zip. |

Upgraded our licensing :) I have not deployed anything yet. I want to make sure all the steps are there. |
