Gemini 3.6.2 - Cannot update status directly

web-app

Hi,

We have a strange one - we don't appear to be able to update the status, resolution or assignee directly when viewing the issue.  Clicking the current status brings up the drop down and allows selection of a new status.  After that, clicking the green check mark appears to refresh the screen but the status does not change.

Our work around is to click the 'Edit' link and make the changes from there, which works just fine.

Do you know of this issue?  It does not appear to be browser dependent - we've tried IE, Firefox and Chrome....

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Can you please check the error log for errors?
Also, try and click the refresh link to refresh the issue, does it update?

I checked the error log and I have the following error every 5 minutes:

"Feed/Rss Invalid length for a Base-64 char array. mscorlib"

It seems this is something totally unrelated and of course now that I try to reproduce the error it's proving me a liar!  I'll repost as soon as I get it to happen again.

Thanks!

Good morning,

I managed to get it to break - as administrator, it works for me but for all other users, it does not.  It gives the following error:

User Emmanuel Olart does not have permission for: administer project. at CounterSoft.Gemini.Presenter.Base.BasePresenter.HandlePermissionException(String operation) at CounterSoft.Gemini.Presenter.ProjectPresenter.GetProjectResource(Int32 projectId, Int32 userId) at CounterSoft.Gemini.Web.Methods.IssueUpdateHandler.UpdateIssueResources(String& updatedValue, IssueEN iss, Boolean userName) at CounterSoft.Gemini.Web.Methods.IssueUpdateHandler.UpdateIssue()

As I said, if they hit 'Edit', the are able to make the change so I don't understand the permissions warning.

I really appreciate your help,

Chris

Thanks for coming back, this is a known bug that will be fixed in 3.7: http://gemini.countersoft.com/Default.aspx?p=2&i=3616

Hoever, it should only be the assigned to field that does not work. Do you get it for other fields?

Hi,

Yes, I misreported - it's only on the assign field that I get this error.

Thanks very much,

Chris
