Sorry if I missed it, but i've read the documentation, and made many searches before I ask.

I'd like to add a custom field that is our client name.
But we fortunately have hundreds, and a listbox is not appropriated.
May a custom field act as the "Reported by" field : for this one, a search is made in users table when few letters have been entered, so it's easy to select the desired value.
Is there a way to do this with a custom field (textbox) that would search for values in a custom table as the text is entered ?
