Why does 'Copy Issue' default the project to the first in the list?

I have been using the 'Copy' function on the 'ViewIssue' page to create a new issue that has a similar titles, descriptions and settings to an existing issue in the project, and have been frustrated by the way the 'Target Project' field works in this situation:

  • It defaults to the project that is alphabetically first in the project list rather then defaulting the the project the issue is being copied from.
  • Changing the project loses any changes I have already entered.

I am using v3.5.3 (build 2390).

Hello Mark.

We will fix the default project selection in our next release, 3.5.4.

Issue components are Project based and will be refrehsehd if the selected Project is changed.
