Version control of project documents

web-app

Is it possible to use SVN to implement version control on folders and documents uploaded to the project?

Right now we have a separate file repository for program documents on the same server as our Gemini installation which is under SVN version control.  It would be ideal to post these documents inside the Gemini project.

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

I reckon you could potentially pull together an ASP.NET User Control that shows the docs from your SVN repository.

Would this work? Or did I miss your point?

I guess what I'm getting at is that it would be great if the file repository had some organic and simple document control features, such as checking in or out the document when downloading, similar to what is available in Sharepoint.  Version control of program documents with SVN isn't really an ideal solution, but we're using it for the source  code so at least it's a common tool.

I'm really just trying to minimize the number of places I need to store program data and files to keep control of it.  It would be ideal if I could make my gemini project file repository THE file repository for the program and subject it to version control.

Thanks,
Justin
