Dreaded Invalid Gemini URL? appearing

Hi I'm trying out the desktop client and I can't get the logon to work (not using windows authentication).

If use this URL http://xxx/api/admin.ashx/test

It reports "Welcome to the Gemini Administration REST API"

Could someone suggest my next steps please

You are using desktop 3.7 with Gemini web 3.6, which won't work.
You need them to match versions.
