Field Visibility Schemes

web-app

Hello, I'm using gemini 3.6.3 (planned to migrate on the last version) and I'm trying to hide some fields. I created a Field Visibility Scheme and choose to hide Risk Level, Visibility ... I applied the scheme to my project and the fields are still there. There is default values defined for these fields. I don't see anything in the changelog for the lasts versions. Is there a tips I missed to get it work? Cheers, JB

Field visibility scheme applies at the project level (as you did) and at the type level (create, view and edit an issue).
Please make sure that you have set the new scheme in your issue types (Administration -> Issue Types page).

Hi,

thanks for your answer. What is the priority order between both level (project/issue Type)? If I define my new scheme in the Issue Types, it works but it will be applied to all project that used this issue type,no? Why do we need to define it in the project level by the way? Do I need to create an Issue Type for each scheme to have a difference between 2 projects?

Issue type takes precedence over project.
Yes, it will apply to all projects, but usually you'll have the same setup for the types. Why would you want to make it different between 2 projects?

The visibility scheme at the project level controls visibility of the project home page stats and issues filter page.

You may create 2 types or use project groups to with 1 type. So users in project group A will see the field in project X but no in project Y.

Ok thanks, I understand better the visibility scheme. I have 2 differents projects with differents users that have different fields needs. I will use group to hide some fields and use only one issue type. Cheers, JB
