Migrate from 2.0.2 to 3.6.5 - partially

We are in the process of migrating from 2.0.2 to 3.6.5 and had set a time frame of about two weeks from now. But a client wants us to migrate his projects tp 3.6.5 immedately.

- Can I migrate to 3.6.5 for this client now (which will be a separate web application server and DB)and merge data for other clients (DB / 2.0.2 application on box which is different from the above one) later when the complete 3.6.5 migration is done?

Yes, you can using project backup and restore / import app you can get the other projects in.

Why not migrate all at the same time? It shouldn't really matter if you are migrating 1 or 10 projects.

Then is it possible to backup a project in 2.0.2 version and restore in 3.6.5 version without any additional steps ?

No, you will need to upgrade to 3.6.5 first.
