Error when browsing in IE

web-app

Here is how I install the ver 3.6.5.

- I created a folder called site in D:\Gemini.

- I execute the CounterSoftGeminiv365.exe.

- I point the installation directory to the directory I created above.

- In the database, for the NETWORKSERVICE, I enable the dbowner  permission.

- I create a virtual directory below Default Web Site called v365 and point the path to the above directory.

When I right click on the v365 and click Browse I am able to see the site on the right pane in IIS. But when I try to browse the site (http://localhost/v365) in Internet Explorer I get error "HTTP 400 - Bad request".

- I cleared the cache, enabled ASP.NET v2.0.50727 but no avail. .NET 3.5 SP1 is installed.

Does it work with other browsers?

I haven't tried with other browsers. But it works properly on my box in IE but when I install on other box (connected to mine via RDC) following the same steps, it does not.

Please check with a different browser. Check the windows application log (event viewer) for errors.
It might be a permission on the directory issue.
Also, do you have a proxy server?

- There are no errors in event log.

- The system where it works has proxy server enabled but not on the box where it does not work. Enabling though did not make it work.

- Checking with other browsers might not be possible as no other browsers are installed on the other box and I do not have permissions to install.
